     Geo: Layfield Esq makes Came George Layfield Esq Collr of his mats LJoub. H. D.

     Oath to 3 Lists Customs for the District of Pocomoke and pro

     of Ships & is duced three lists of the Severall Ships and Vessells

     Order'd to send over 1: Enter'd and Cleard by him within the Sd District

     more of each from the time of the Governmt of his late Exncy

              Lyonell Copley Esq Comencing Signifying that

    

     he had already sent Copyes of the Same to the Honrble the

     Comrs of his mats Customs. He is Ordered to send over one

     of a Sort of the sd Copyes more he having Recd: one of the

     last sort to Carry back to Amend.

    

    

      Vpon a Peticon preferr'd by Mr Richard Beard P. 489

     Reference. to Redress some abuse by him lately Recd: from

              Capt Richard Hill. He was Referred from this

     Board to make his Case known to the House of Delegates.

     

     Wnou Lowes A Peticon of Wm Lowe of Dorchester County

    

              for Remittance of a ffine of 50 ll Sterl. was by Ordr

              Referred to the Kings Lawyers & to George

     Plater Esq as his mats Receiver to see if any Relief were to be

     had for the Peticonr

    

     Madam Eiiz: Vpon Motion made by Madam Eliza Blackiston

     Blackistons

     pet for leave Admrx of Coll: Nehemiah. Blackiston decd: how

    

         Capt that Capt John Oldton Comandr of the Party of

     Debt &ca was Rangers in Baltemore County was indebted to

     Referred to her sd Husbands Estate (by bill) in the Suffle of

     the sd Oldton

     to make fforty Shillings Sterl. and unto Edward Wynn (by

     Answer &Ca a Certain Bond under his hand and Seal, Assum'd

    

     over to the sd Coll: Blackiston) in the Sume of 1200 ll of

     Tobacco; both produced at the Board, but Refused paymt of

     the Same; therefore humbly Prayed leave might be granted

     her to sue forth legall process against him. Ordered that the

     sd Mattr be Referred to the Sd Capt Oldton to make Answer

     to this Board the Reason of such his Denyall, and then some

     further Ordr shall be given therein.

    

    

    

                     May the 28th 1697.

     The Councill again Sate and were prsent as Yesterday with

     the Addition of the honrble Coll: John Courts.

    

     Lords of the Produced by his Exncy to the Board a Letter

     Conncil for  . .

     Trade &ca Containing Severall Quaeries & Instructions by

     Lre of Quaeries him Recd: from the Rt honrble the Lords of the

    

         Excy Councill for Trade and fforreign Plantacons Dated

              the 25th of September last past, which being Read
