Resolved that a Conference be had w^th some of his Maj^ties
Honl: Councill in relation to regulateing the Chan^ry proceed-
ings & that a message be prepared to send to his Ex^cy in
Ord^r thereunto

By the house of Delegates Iuly 6^th 1699.

The Message by the Honble Coll. Henry Iowles and Tho:
Tench Esq^r was here reed and read and this house Humbly
Prayes that yo^r Ex^cy will be pleased to appoynt some of the
Gent, of his Maj^tys Honble Councill to Conferr w'^h some of
the members of this house to Consider whither it be nessary
to Compose any Lawe to regulate the Chan^ry proceeding
as is recommended in the said Message and this house have
appoynted Maj^r Tho: Smith Cap^t Philip Hoskins Coll
Iohn Thompson M^r Iames Saunders M^r Walter Smith and M^r
W^m Harris to Ioyne in such conferrence and to attend such of
his Maj^ties Councill as yo^r Ex^cy shall appoynt at such time and
place as they shall Direct
