up one Waggon and Team amongst them whereby Tillage
may suffer no great prejudice and to prevent the same persons
who now yield Assistance from being again called on before it
properly comes to their Turn a List of all Waggons and
Teams employed in the said Service either on Contract or on
being pressed together with the Time of their Service
respectively is hereby directed to be returned to this Board

In Council 12th May 1778.
Sir
James OBryan of your Regiment who obtained a Furlough,
was, after the Time expired, taken up as a Deserter and
escaped from Prison, has surrendered himself to Colo Burk-
head; he has been useful in assisting the Recruiting Service.
Colo Burkhead is very desirous and we join our Request to his
Solicitation, that OBryan's late Conduct may wipe off his
former ill Behaviour. We are Sir &ca

In Council 12th May 1778.
Sir
One John Pennington of your County was taken up as a
Vagrant by Stanly Cook and John McKeele and brought
hither in the Galley. There is no Adjudication of his being
a Vagrant transmitted with him and the Man disowns that
he is a Person of that Character or that he has been before
any Officer. We request you Sir to make Inquiry into the
Matter, that Pennington may be sent back if he has not been
already adjudged, and have the Hearing that the Law and
Justice require, or if he has been adjudged, that the proper
Certificate may be returned. We are &ca
