That the said Treasurer pay to Majr John Eccleston one
thousand six hundred Dollars to be expended in the recruiting
Service to be charged to 2d Regimt
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Major John
Eccleston of the 5th Regt Serge Demin for a Jacket & 2 pr
Breeches
Ordered that Colo Isaac Perkins of Kent County pay to Colo
John Thompson of Queen Ann's County all the Public Money
remaining in his Hands unexpended.
Commission of Letter of Marque & Reprisal issued to
Jeremiah Yellot Commander of the Schooner Felicity 60 Tons
burthen mounting 6 Carriage Guns 6 Swivels and 12 Small
Arms, belonging to Jesse Hollingsworth & others of Baltimore.

Tuesday 20 July 1779

Present as on Yesterday. Thomas Sim Lee Esqr Attended
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Thomas
Eccleston Twelve Pounds, eleven shillings and two pence for
the use of James Sullivane due him per Account passed by the
Aud. Genl
The Council have lent Mr Samuel Chase 2 4 Pounders with
Carriages from the Independence Galley of Dorsey's make to
be returned in kind or paid for

Wednesday 21 July 1779

Present as on Yesterday
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Christ0
Johnson four hundred & fifty four Pounds fourteen shillings &
six pence for the use of Messrs Isaac & Thorowgood Smith
per Acct passed by A. Gl
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Thomas
Sim Lee Esquire Fifty six Pounds, five shillings for the use of
Mrs Urquheart p ace' passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Gilbert Middleton One
hundred & three Pounds, six shillings and six pence p Acct
passed by the Depy Aud.
Matthew Ridley a Native of Great Britain who left this State
about the year 1775 and hath since been absent in Parts be-
yond the Sea and is now lately that is to say within three
Months last past returned into this State appeared before the
Governor and Council and before them did take repeat and
Subscribe the Oath of Fidelity and Support to this State con-
tained in the Act entitled " An Act to punish certain Crimes
and Misdemeanors and to prevent the Growth of Toryism."
