In Council Annapolis 17th July 1779
Sir.
We have appointed Monday the 26th Inst for hearing the
Parties with their Witnesses on your Memorial presented to
this Board against the Conduct of Messrs Spear, Calhoun
Lindenberger & Van Bibber as Magistrates, when we expect
all concerned will attend here

In Council Annapolis 17th July 1779
Gent.
Inclosed you will receive a Copy of a Memorial exhibited to
this Board by Mr William Goddard complaining of your Con-
duct as Magistrates. We have appointed Monday the 26th
Inst for hearing all Parties thereon at which Time we request
your Attendance here with the Witnesses you may think
proper to have examined on the Occasion. We do not claim a
Power to compel the Attendance of Witnesses but if our
Request will be an additional Inducement to those whose
Evidence may be thought material, to attend, we shall readily
use our Instances for that Purpose, with any Body to whom
they may be necessary
