Thursday 22d July 1779

Present as on Yesterday
Ordered that the Commissary of Stores deliver to Serj' Rose
of the 1st Regt 5 Coatees 5 pair Shoes, 5 pair Overalls, 1 Shirt
and 1 Hat, for so many Recruits of the Ist Regim
That the said Commissary of Stores deliver to John Brown
the amount of Twenty seven Pounds, thirteen shillings and
four Pence for the use of Arnold Longfellow who was a 9
Mo Soldr in the 7th Regimt Discharged, due him in Cloathing
per Act of Assembly to procure Troops for the American
Army
That the western shore Treasurer pay to William MoKillow
a 9 Mo Soldier in the1 Regimt & reinlisted in the same
Twenty nine Pounds, ten shillings due him in lieu of Cloath-
ing allowed by the Act of Assembly to procure Troops for the
American Army
That the said Treasurer pay to William Rose thirteen Pounds
ten shillings due him per Account passed by the Depy Aud.
Serjeant William Rose, You are to receive of Cap. McKirdy
of the Brig Tom Johnson 2 British Prisoners, James Ware
Sailing Master and George Dickes Sailor, taken in the Sloop
Bishop a Privateer from New York and deliver them with
this to the Keeper of the Prison where such are confined in
Philadelphia
John Hunt formerly a Resident of Baltimore who left this
State in the Month of September 1775 and returned hither
within these 10 Days last past appeared before the Governr and
Council and before them did take repeat & Subscribe the Oath
of Fidelity and Support to this State and also John McKirdy
formerly a Resident of this State who left the same in the
Month of Septr 1775 & returned hither within these 16 Days
last past appeared before the Governor & Council and before
them did take repeat & Subscribe the Oath of Fidelity and
Support to this State.

Friday 23d July 1779

Present as on Yesterday.
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to James
Brice two hundred and four Pounds, for his Attendance in
Council to the 21 Inclusive
That the said Treasurer pay to Samuel H. Howard Two
hundred & fifty seven Pounds seventeen shillgs & six Pence
for the use of Saml H. Howard & Co per Acct passed by the
Aud. Genl
