you may exchange him with some of the Officers, so as to
obtain those Ends and if you can you are at Liberty to do so.
We think it will be your best way to pay Murphy's Fees and
take him back, deducting out of his Pay as it becomes due and
if there should be any Loss that the Public ought to bear it.
You had best get the blue Cloth as soon as may be, it will
probably not be cheaper than £ 7 .. 10 ...0 We see that the
Soldiers are fed with Beef at 3/9 plb We have a good Deal of
Pork at Edward Dorsey's Mr Judah was desired in July or
August and several Times since to get it down and issue it,
at least in Part; do urge it down, the Pork will otherwise be,
if not already, entirely lost.

Present as on yesterday
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to John
Crissall seven hundred and twenty seven Pounds, twelve
shillings and Eight Pence Balance due him per Account
passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Richard Thompson Sixty
five Pounds five shillings due him per Acct passed by the Aud.

A Proclamation

Whereas the House of Senate stands Adjourned to the
twenty sixth Day of April and the House of Delegates stands
Adjourned to the first Monday in August next I have with the
advice of the Council appointed Tuesday the second Day of
March next for the meeting & holding of the General
Assembly of this State of which the several Sheriffs within
this State are hereby enjoined to give Public and due Notice.
Given at Annapolis this Thirteenth Day of February in the
year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy
nine
