That the said Treasurer pay to John Chevier fourteen
pounds ten shillings per Account passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Alexander McCallum
Twenty pounds seven shillings and three pence per Account
passed by the Prinl Cl. to the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Robert Amoss eighty nine
pounds, twelve shillings per Account passed by the Prinl Cl.
to the Aud. Genl
Doct. Joseph Diggs of this State having for some time past
been in bad Health and being desirous of going to Bermuda
for the recovery of his health hath hereby Permission to go on
the said Voyage.
It being represented to this Board by Mr James Dick that
several pieces of Business which were under the Management
of Mr Anthony Stewart now in New York and also Business
in which both of them are interested are likely to suffer unless
some papers respecting those Matters can be obtained from
Mr Stewart and a Conversation had with him on those Sub-
jects. The Governor and Council therefore on Mr Dicks
Application request that his Excellency Genl Washington or
any other Continental General commanding a convenient out
Post will Permit and as far as convenient facilitate an Interview
between Mr Charles Stewart and Anthony Stewart on the
Lines for the purpose of Obtaining the papers mentioned
above and what Information and Instruction may be necessary
for conducting and managing the said Business.
The like request was made and Permission given to Thomas
Russell to go to New York on Private Business.

Saturday 24 October 1778

Present as on yesterday.
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Robert
Reith Eight Pounds six shillings and eight pence for one
Months Salary as Messenger to the Governor and Council
from the twenty Third of September last.
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer [pay to] James
Hutchings Forty one Pounds per Account passed by the Prinl
Cl. to the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Isaac Webster Twenty six
Pounds for the use of John Moale per Account passed by the
Prinl Cl. to the A. Gl
That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Johnson Junr Eighty
three pounds, six shillings & Eight pence for 4 Months Salary
as Cl. to the Govr and Council due the 20 Inst, and also the
further Sum of four pounds fourteen shillings and ten pence
per Accot passed by the Prinl Cl. to the Aud. Genl
