James Jaffray of Baltimore County in the State of Maryland
who hath been absent therefrom in Parts beyond the Seas for
about fourteen Months last past and Clement Waring of
Prince Georges County in the State aforesaid who hath been
absent therefrom in parts beyond the Seas for about three
years last past and hath lately that is to say within three
Months now last past returned into this State, appeared before
the Governor and Council and before them did severally take
repeat and Subscribe the Oath of Fidelity and Support to this
State contained in the Act entitled " An Act to punish certain
Crimes and Misdemeanors & to prevent the Growth of
Toryism."
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer Pay to Danl
Munro Thirty Pounds fifteen shillings and fifteen Pounds, the
last Sum for the use of Silvester Gaither per Acts passed by
the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer Pay to Roger Jones eighteen Pounds
six shillings and ten Pence, six Pounds, fourteen shillings &
seven Pence Thirteen Pounds fifteen shillings and four Pence
and Eleven Pounds for the use of himself and Compy Guards
per Accts passed by the Aud Genl
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Doct. Ben-
jamin Kirby five Pounds ten shillings for the use of James
Barnes per Accounts passed by the Aud. Genl
Two of the Public Offices in the Stadt House being so far
fitted that they may conveniently be made use of for the Re-
ception and keeping Books and Papers therein. It is ordered
that all Books and Papers belonging to the Secretary's Office
now the General Court Office and also all Books and Papers
belonging to the Land Office be removed into the said Offices
in the Stadt House under the care of the Clerk of the General
Court and Register of the Land Office respectively and that
the State Waggons be employed in the removing the said
Books and Papers.

Ordered that the Commissary of Stores deliver to Daniel
Munro Cloathing & Blankets for two Recruits of the first
Regiment & one Shirt, one pair Shoes and one pair Stockings
for himself and to be charged to the above Regimt
That the western shore Treasurer pay to Commodore Gra-
son one thousand two hundred and forty four Pounds six shil-
lings and eleven Pence for the Pay of the Chester Galley,
