Present as on Saturday
Permission given to the Sloop Hannah, Paul Hussey Master
to Load with Flour and Grain within this State for the Con-
sumption of the Eastern States agreeable to a Resolution of
Congress of the 2nd September 1778
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Elizabeth
Maw seven Pounds ten shillings per Acct passed by the Aud
Genl
That the said Treasurer Pay to Comr Thomas Grason
Twenty eight Pounds, ten shillings for the use of John Rister
per Acct passed by A Gl
That the said Treasurer Pay to John Bullen four hundred and
sixty six Pounds, eighteen Shillings and Seven Pence and also
the further Sum of two hundred and Seventy nine Pounds,
sixteen shillings and Six Pence per Accounts passed by the
Aud. Genl

Tuesday 22d September 1778

Present as on yesterday
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Robt
Ridge fifty Pounds, ten shillings & nine Pence per Acct passed
by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer Pay to Lieut Edwd Gale eight
Pounds one shilling & four Pence per Acct passed by A. Genl
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Lt Gale 18 pr Shoes
for the use of Capt Campbell's Co of Matrosses.

Wednesday 23d September 1778

Present as on yesterday
Ordered that the W. S. Treasurer pay to Thos Kirby two
pounds five shillings for the use of John Annis per Acct
passed by A Gl
Capt. John Nicholls of Talbot County in the State of Mary-
land who hath been absent therefrom for about eight or nine
Months last past and hath lately that is to say, within three
Months now last past returned into this State appeared before
the Council and before them did take repeat and subscribe the
Oath of Fidelity and Support to this State contained in the
Act entitled " An Act to punish certain Crimes and Misde-
meanors and to prevent the Growth of Toryism."
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer Pay to Capt
Thomas Coursey five hundred and seventy five Pounds, two
shillings, and Eleven pence on Account of the Chester Galley
per Accot passed by the Aud. Genl
