Jerry can give it to you. I will attend to the other Parts of
your Letter. For news I beg Leave to refer you to my Letter
yesday to Colo Lloyd.
I much obliged by your kind & friendly Enquiry after my
Health. I have been very unwell, but am now quite recov-
ered. I wish you every Happiness & am

Wednesday 12 August 1778.

Present as on yesterday
George Digges a native of this State who hath been absent
there from in Great Britain and other Parts beyound the Seas
for about three years last Past and hath lately that is to say
within three months now last past returned into this State
appeared before the Governor and Council and before them
did take repeat and Subscribe the Oath of Fidelity and Sup-
port to this State contained in the Act entitled an Act to
Punish certain Crimes and Misdemeanors and to Prevent the
Growth of Toryism
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer Pay to Daniel
Bryan one hundred and fifty one Pounds, two shillings and
six Pence due himself and Hands of the Boat Dolphin per
Account passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer Pay to William Matthews seventy
two Pounds per Acct passed by the Aud. Genl
Lieut. Mitinger Resigns his Commission in the Artillery
Service of this Service with intent of going into the Dragoons
in Continental Service and Jacques Bajues appointed in his
Stead.

In Council 12th Augt 1778.
Sir.
Your Letter of the 26th July came to Hand so late last Fri-
day that it could not be answered by the Return of that Day's
Post. We write to Genl Washington by this Post for his
Orders for the Advance of the State Bounty and wish our
Letter may have the intended Effect, if it should not, advise
us, letting us know the sum wanted and we will endeavour to
supply it some other Way for it is high Time to endeavour by
all fair Means to keep the Regiments as full of deciplined Men
as may be. We wrote to our Delegates to endeavour by all
possible Means to get from the Continental Stores about 1000
Shirts and more Blanketts and put them into Mr Randall's
