Saturday 20 June 1778.

Present as on yesterday.
Ordered That the western shore Treasurer pay to Eastman
& Neth one hundred and twelve Pounds ten shillings due
them per Accts passed by the A Genl
That the said Treasurer Pay to Captain Benjamin Morgan
twenty one pounds, fourteen shillings and two Pence per
Acct passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer Pay to Doct. Phil Thomas thirteen
pounds five shillings for the use of Daniel Buzzard, fifteen
pounds for the use of Issabella Richardson, twenty four pounds
for the use of Jeremiah Stokes and fifteen Pounds ten shillings
for the use of Willm Cunns per Accts passed by the A G.
That the said Treasurer Pay to Amos Alexander Esq. five
hundred pounds to be delivered over to Richard Bond of Cecil
County on Acct
The Governor and Council in Virtue of and According to
the Resolution of the General Assembly of the 21st Day of
April last hereby appoint John Muir of the City of Annapolis
to be Commissary of Stores.
Commissions issued to John Stull, Joseph Sprigg, Samuel
Hughes, Henry Schnebely, Joseph Chapline, John Barnes,
Richard Davis, Andrew Bruce, Andrew Rench, William Yeates,
Lemuel Barrett, Christopher Cruse, John Celler and Charles
Prather appointed Justices of the County Court for Washing-
ton County.
Commission issued to John Stull, Joseph Sprigg, Samuel
Hughes, Henry Schnebeley and John Barnes, appointed Justices
of the Orphans Court for Washington County.
The Governor and Council taking into their Consideration
the price of Provisions obtained from the Inhabitants of this
State in Virtue of the Act entitled "An Act for the Service of
the United States" and the Information they have been able to
obtain as to the Prices given by the Continental Purchasers do
think it just and proper to regulate and therefore do hereby,
by Virtue of the Power and Authority with which they are
invested by the " Act for enlarging the Powers of the Governor
and Council" Regulate the Price of the Provisions already
Purchased or otherwise obtained or which shall be purchased
or otherwise obtained from the Inhabitants of this State by the
Purchasers of Provisions in the several Counties in Virtue of
the said Act for the Service of the united States in common
Money as follows to wit for live Steers or any other Cattle
fatted one shilling & four Pence by the Pound Hides and
Tallow included as a fifth Quarter; for Salted Pork in Barrels
containing 220 Pounds weight of good cured Pork twenty
