      Produced & read a former Order of this Board relateing to Lib. C. B.

    the Election of Sherriffes, dated the 29th of June last past; and

   

    The Board therevpon the Board proceeds to the Nominateing

     & appointing New Sherriffes for the severall &

    ing New Respective Counties within the Province.

    Sifes

   

   

      Severall Persons being proposed to Execute the Office of p.

    Sheriffe within the County of St Maries for the yeare ensueing;

    Capt John Bayne at last by the Unanimous consent of the

    severall Members present in Councill was appointed Sheriffe

    of the said County, the honoble the President onely excepted,

    whoe Ordered his dissent thereto to be Entered.

   

      ffor Charles County was appointed Mr John Stone.

      ffor Ann Arrundeil County—Capt Wm Holland

      ffor Baltemore County, Majr John Thomas.

      ffor Cecill County_Mr John Carvile

      ffor Kent County_Mr Daniell Norris

      ffor Talbot County_Mr James Smith.

      ffor Dorchester County_Doctr Jacob Lockerman.

      ffor Somerset County_Mr Ephraim Wilson.

   

      Mr William Parker of Calvert County being represented by

    severall of the Inhabitants thereof to be a fit person for

    Sherriff of the said County was for sometime objected against

    by the Board, for that he the said Parker was by an Order of

    this Board, of the 29th of June last past Required to be and

    appeare at the next Provinciall Court, haveing been concerned

    together with severall others of the Comissionrs of that County

    Court in signeing to a Refractory sort of an Address then

    produced in Councill: however Resolved that the said Parker

    be Comissionated Sherriffe of the said County for the ensue

    ing yeare, vpon acknowledgment of his offence & makeing

    submission before this Board the which he accordingly per

    formed expressing himself sorry for the same.

    

    Sffes Com- Ordered that Comissions be forthwith prepared to p. 102

    issions Or

    dered to be pass the Broad Seale, to constitute the severall fore

    prepar'd to named persons, Sherriffes within the severall &

   

      pass the Broad Seale   respective Counties according to appointmt which

           said Comissions they are to Receive at the next

    County Court to be held in the Month of August, at which

    time the Comissionrs are hereby obligated to take Bond with

    two sufficient Securities, for the due Execution of their said

    places; the Sherriffe of St Maries, Calvert, Ann Arrundell,

    Talbot & Somerset giveing Bond to the Surne of Three hun-
