  said Coll Greenherry, and to be continued as long as he shall

  see it Needfuil or Necessary to be paid by the Countrey.

 

  Scaries & Navall Offi- Delivered at the Board by Coll Nicho Greenberry

  cers Bonds the honble the Scaries Bond for performance of his

  dd at the Office together with Esqr Plater & Majr Kings

  Board to be

  Recorded  Navali Officers Bonds, to be Entered vpon Record

         according to former Order.

 

 

 

  Maryland ss Know all Men by these Presents, that I Sr Thomas

 

  Sr Tho Laurence Laurence Baront Secretary of their Mats Province of

 

  Scaris Bond Maryland am held & firmlybound Unto their sacred

  Maties King William & Queen Mary &ca in the full Sume of

  One thousand Pounds sterling Money of England to be paid

  to their said Maties their Heirs or Successors to the which

  paymt well & truely to be made & done I binde my self my -

  heirs Executors & Administrators firmly by these Presents,

  Sealed with my Seale & Dated this Twelfth day of October

  in the ffifth yeare of their Maties Reigne Annoq Domini 1693.

  The Condition of the above Obligation is such that Whereas p. 89

  their Majesties by their Letters Patents have Comitted the

  Office of Secretary of Maryland to the above bound Sr Thomas

  Laurence to be by him held & Enjoyed dureing their Royall

  pleasure, and him the said Sr Thomas Laurence to take &

  Receive into his possession & care all the Records, Court

  Rolls & other Deeds & Papers therevnto belonging Now the

  Condition of this Obligation is such that if the said Sr Thomas

  Laurence doe in all things according to the Obligation & Duty

  of his said Office well & truely observe, performe & Execute

  the same either by himselfe or such Clerks as he will Answer

  for without fraud or Covin, and well & truely Resigne &

  deliver the same Office & all Records & other Papers, Write

  ings & Deeds which shall be to him delivered together with

  what shall be Received Entered or Enrolled dureing his Con

  tinuance therein, when by their Maties their heires or Successors

  he the said Sr Thomas Laurence shall be lawfully discharged

  therefrom, That then this Obligation to be Void or else to

  Remaine in full force & Virtue.
