for the Divideing and laying out their severall & respec- Lib. C. B. tive Counties into severall Districts & Parishes And the said Justices at their soe Meeting & Assembling as afore said to the full effecting & accomplishing all & every thing of them by the said Act required should by the Clerk of the said County Enter vpon Record their Proceedings therevpon, and the same soe vpon Record Entered as aforesd cause to be Cer tifyed by the said Clerk Under his hand & Seale of such County wherein such Proceedings shall or ought to be Certi fyed as aforesaid. Wee therefore their Mats Justices for the County of Dor chester doe hereby humbly Certifye that Wee Henry Trippe, Jacob Lockerman, Henry Hooper, Thomas Ennalls, John Mackeele & William Mishew, their Mats Justices for the County of Dorchester as aforesd together with the Honoble Charles Hutchins Esqe & severall other the chiefe & principall ffreeholders of the said County did on the first day of ffebruary Annoq Domini 1692 last past Meet together for divideing the p. 85 said County into severall Districts & Parishes pursueant to the said Act and that Wee the said Justices & ffreeholders as aforesaid by a Mutuall & Unanimous consent did Agree & consent Unto that the said County of Dorchestr should be Divided into two severall Districts and Parishes by a Divi sionale Line drawne from the Mouth of Little Choptanck River binding therewith to the head of the said River from thence with a streight Line drawne to the head of the North branch of Black Water River to a plantation now in the Tenure or occupation of Benjamin Hunt of this County thence runing downe the said River on its severall Courses to the Mouth of the same, the Eastermost of which Parishes is named and called by the Name of Great Choptanck Parish, the other Parish is called & knowne by the Name of Dorchester Parish, and that the ffreeholders of the Parish of Great Choptanck doe Give their Meeting & Attendance at the Towne of Cam. bridge within the said Parish, on the first Saturday in March next to Choose Vestrymen for the said Parish of Great Chop. tanck. And that the ffreeholders of Dorchester Parish doe likewise Meet & give their Attendance at the Towne of Dor chester, on the second Saturday in the said Month of March p. 86 in Order to the Chooseing Vestrymen for the said Parish of Dorchester as by the said Act is required, All which proceed. ings by the said Justices and ffreeholders as aforesaid for the said County of Dorchester was by the said Justices Ordered to be Entered Upon Record which is accordingly done, and the which I doe here humbly Certifye vnder my hand & County Seale this tenth day of June, Annoq Domini 1693.
