      Lib. H. D.          Decembr the 16th 1696.

     

            Ordr of That what person soever shall discover any Dis

            Councill turbance likely to happen within this his Mats Gov

            Sworneto&caernmt shall have a Reward of ll Sterl. & if a

            party Concern'd shall have his Pardon.

              The above is a Clause contained in a Certain Ordr of Coun

            cill of the above date; issued and sent to each respective

            County of the Province.

              Sworne to, in Open Court by Mr Denton as a true Copy.

                    I John Bouye being Clerk of the Comissary's

                   Office this three years past do declare that directly

            or Indirectly his Exncy ffrancis Nicholson Governr of this Prov

            ince never did Comand or Order me to doe or Act in any

            thing or Cause whatsoever Contrary to Law or the Usage of

            this Province, and no more but given me strict Ordr to be

            Carefull of the Records & to be diligent in my Office of Clark-

            ship. This I doe Sincerely declare, as Witness my hand this

            14th December 1696.

             Jurate in Cur die & anno          Supdcis  J. Bouye.

            H Wriothesley Clk      of

            the Provll Court.

     

            Mr Wrioth- I the subscriber doe Solemnly Swear that I have

            esley's Oath   .        —.

                   been Constituted and Comissionated to be Clerk of

            the Prov” Court under the Honrble Sr Thomas Laurence Baront

         p. 8z  Secryr of this Province of Maryland for the space of three

            years or thereabouts, and that since the time I have been in

            the s' Office, his Exncy ffrancis Nicholson Esq the prsent Gov

            ernr of the Province hath not either directly or Indirectly

            comanded me to issue out of the Secryrs Office any process

            whatsoever against any person or persons contrary to the

            Laws of England or any of the Laws and Customs of this

            Province. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand

            this 14th day of December Anno Domini 1696.
