       Lib. H. D. Accot thereof are by him to be instantly transmitted to George

             Plater Esq at Petuxant.

             Ordrabt the Vpon a Peticon preferred by Mr Walter Cambell

             Sheriffs having liberty to high Sheriff of Dorchester County humbly praying

             goe out of a favourable dispensation at prsent of a late Ordr

             their Coun while the from this Board Commanding that noe Sherriffe

             ffleet Stays shall depart his Bayliwick without the particular

      

                    leave of his Exncy ffirst had &ca setting forth that he

       Whitehall should not otherwise be capable of Defraying the publick and

             County Leavy and Officers ffees in Tobo that being a Poor

             County and dealt generally in Provisions, which by traffique

             ing into the Adjacent Counties, he was thereby Capable of

         p. 444  converting the same into Tobo for the discharge of such Pub-

             lick Dues &c And also upon the Application of Majr Wm

             Whittington high Sheriff of Somerset County humbly pray

             ing that he might be permitted to Come over the Bay having

             some Accots which he must necessarily settle before the ffleet

             goes out; Ordered thereupon that the Sheriffs of the respec

             tive Counties within this Province be permitted to goe about

             their Lawfull Occasions into another County dureing the ffleets

             stay in the Countrey, but that the fformer Ordr afterwards be

             fully complyed withall.

              John Popes Petition for having Mr Samll Withers Sheriffs

             Bond put in Suit being Read was Ordered, and indorsed

             accordingly.

      

                    December the 15th 1696.

             Ordr abt the Vpon further Representation, Ordered that the

       Whitehall Court of Chancery & Court of Chancery sit at the Port of Annapolis the

             Governr & last Tuseday in ffebry next and the Commissaries

             Councill &ca

                    Court at the same time, and that the Provinciall

             Court do sit the ffirst Tuseday in May after and that

             the Court of Chancery do again sit the last day of the sd Court

             and the Governr and Councill for hearing Appeales & Writs

             of Error two days after hereby Commanding the Sherriffs to

             make the same publick.

             Ordr abt the Ordered that if any Person (coming from the

             Eastern Shorre Busi- Eastern Shore) have Business depending in the

             ness &ca prov” Court and Court of Chancery or before the

     Whitehall   Governr and Councill, at one time, such person may have a

             dispatch of the same sooner notwithstanding the former Ordr

             hereby directing that the Provinciall Docquet be inspected to

             Examine whether there be any such, to the End the Courts

             may be appointed and the Lawyers have Notice accordingly.
