    in Some Convenient place so tht they may all go down Lib. H. D.

    together; to which the sd Capt Daniell makes Answer that it

    will Conduce most to his Mats Service that they all goe down

    together and proposes that an Ordr may Pass that the Ships

    up the Bay may Joyne him at the mouth of Petuxant River,

    and that the Ships up Potomock may meet at the Mouth of

    St Maries River, to whom he Says he Can Easily give Notice

    when they Saile, and that they give good Bond for the per

    formance thereof; which was Agreed to and Ordered there

    upon as it is hereby Ordered that all the Ships up the Bay do

    give Bond at their Clearing to goe down to the Mouth of

    Petuxant River to Joyne Capt Josiah Daniell (Commander of

    his Mats hired Ship the Prince of Orange there) And all the

    Ships up Potomock to meet at the Mouth of St Maries Rivr

    in Ordr to Saile all down together with Capt Dan” aforesd to

    J oyne the ffleet in Virginia under the Conduct and Command

    of the honrble Capt Charles Wager Coniodore of the Virga and

    Maryland ffleet, and that what Ships are in Pocomoke Dis

    trict do Give Bond to Joyne the Comodore in Virga hereby

    strictly charging the Severall Collectors and Navll Officers of

    this Province to take due Notice hereof and Conform them

    selves accordingly.

   

   

   

     At a Councill held &cca December the 15th 1696.

    Ordr abt the Ordered that the Additionall Duty of three pence

    three pence

    p hhd to be p hhd due to the Countrey and Given by an Ordi

    Collected by nance of Assembly towards the Building of a

  Plater Esq  Church at Annapolis, for and during the Space of

           One whole year be not collected by any of the

    Navall Officers of Petuxant or Potomock District, during that Whitehall

    time but that the Same be Collected by George Plater Esq

    Collr of Petuxant District and his Depties and George Mus

    champ Esq Collr of Potomock District, whereof the Severall

    Collrs and Navll Officrs are to take due Notice, and that what

    Duties are Collected by Major Robert King Navall Officer of

    Pocomoke District, the Bills for the Same, together with the
