Lib, H. D. of the sd Islands shall be in the hands of the native born Sub jects of England or Ireland or of the sd Islands and that no person be permitted to Serve as Jurymen upon any Informa tion brought but what are as afore Expressed; Ordered that publick inquiry be made whether there be any places of Trust in the Courts of Law or of the Treasury held within this Province by any persons other than what are Native born Subjects of England, Ireland or of the sd Islands as is afore expressed, and that a Return thereof be made accordingly.

Decr the 14th 1696. Ordr abt the Whereas by a late Act of Parliamt (intituled an late Act of Parliamt &ca Act for preventing ifrauds and Regulating abuses in the plantacon Trade) it is directed that all Navall Whitehall Officers in the plantacons shall within two Months after having p. 44° Notice thereof or as soon as it conveniently may be, give security for their true and ffaithfull performance of their Duty and any that shall hereafter be Appointed are likewise Obliged within two Months or as soon as it conveniently may be, to give the like security as aforesd to be approved on by his Mats Commissionrs in England and to them given or to such as by them shall be Appointed for his Mats Vse; Ordered Whitehall thereupon that the respective Navll Officers within this Prov ince doe give Security pursuant to the directions of the sd Act of Parliamt And that upon the least Suspicion of Coun terfiet Certificates for discharge of any Navigacon Bonds they Cancell not the Bonds till it be further Certifyed from the Comrs of his Mats Customs that the matter of the Certifi cates are true &ca.
Ordrabt Ordered that the honrble the Commrs of his Mats Sending to Whitehall the Comrs Customs be sent to; desireing that they would for Books please to Send in two dozen of the Books of Rates
and two dozen of the late Acts of Parliamt touching the plantacon Trade for the Vse of the Severall Counties of the Province.
His Exncys Vpon a proposall made by his Exncy to Capt proposall abt . . . the Ships Josiah Daniell Commandr of his Mats hired Ship the &ca & Ordr Prince of Orange, in prsence of the honrble his Mats thereon Councill & Justices of the provll Court, which way
he thought best for his Mats Service that the Ships now in this Province might be Obliged to Joyne the Commodore in Vir ginia and whether it might not be best that they meet together
