    to his Duty therein; and considering that none of the Gentle- Lib H. D. Whitehall

    men of his Mats honrble Councill are as yet Come to Town

    except Coll: John Addison it is therefore Ordered that the

    sd Coll: Addison be Appointed to Act hâc vice in the sd

    Coll:     Jowles stead: and that a Commission be prepared

    accordingly.

   

                  December the 10th 1696.

   

            The Councill again Sate and were prsent

      The hon Coll: John Addison

    Ordr abt the Ordered that the two Men and Officer aded to

    two Men and

    Officer to the Party of Rangers in Potomock last July be Con-

    Continue at tinned at the Garrison untill further Ordr it being

    the Garrison     .     -,          .

   till furth Deemed for his Mats & Lountreys Service, and that

   Ordr     they Remain there together all Winter--prsuant to

   

    former Command, his Exncy being pleased to prsent them with

    Ten dollars to drink the Kings Health, by the hands of the

    honrble Coll: John Addison.

   

   

                 December the 1 1th 1696.

   

      The Councill again Sate & were present as before.    Whitehall

    Govt New Produced & Read a Letter from his Exncy the

    Yorks Lre to

   be Entred  Governr of New York giving an Accot of the News

            in those parts in relacon to the ifrench and Canida

            Indians.

   

      Ordered that the same be Entered in the Council Book;

    But as to any Answer thereto it is imagin'd there is none

    Required.                                    Whitehall

   

    GovrofVirga Produced by George Plater Esq (his Mats Re

    Lre produced

    by Mr Plater ceiver Genll) unto the Board, a Letter by him Recd

    &ca from his Exncy Sr Edmund Andros Govr of Virga

   

    Dated the 8th of October past in relacon to some Money

    Ordered to him the sd Mr Plater Signifying that he had Recd

    Bills to the Value of 300” Ster. being part of the 500 l taken

    by the sd Sr Edmund from this Governmt in the absence of

    his Exncy.

   

    Ordr abt Ordered that the sd Bills be by him Remitted for

    Bills remitted

    for England England to be lodged in the hands of Mr Micajah

    &ca Perry Mercht in London to be Appropriated to the

   

    Vses as the Assembly have desired & humbly Supplicated his Whitehall
