Lib. H. D. having pleased Almighty God of his infinite goodness to send a Seasonable year whereby great Crops of Corn and Tobacco are likely to be made and that it is a good Mast year, So that the people indebted can Never pay their debts in a better time. This Board does further Strictly charge all the Magistrates & Justices of this Province in generall (in his Mats name and as they will answer it at the day of Judgmt) that they see all the Laws put in strict Execution especially agt Sabath break ing, Blasphemy, cursing, Swearing, drunkkenness; and Agt Whitehall known Adulterers, ffornicators and persons that have two wives; but more especially that they take care to punish such Offences as they are Eye and Ear witnesses of. And it ap pearing by the Provll Court dockett inspected by his Exncy and Councill this morning that there are abt 1 20 Appearances, so that another Court must shortly necessarily be held before the ffleet goes out, otherwise a great many persons are likely to goe without their debts this year therefore it is considered By this Board that the provll Court be adjourn'd untill the ffirst Tuesday in Decembr next, hereby directing that the same be adjourned accordingly, it being always his Exncys intent that Speedy Justice should be done to all persons in this province, and does hope for the future for to bring matters so to bear as to have business goe through all the Courts of the province within the compass of a Twelmonth & for the Courts to be more Early: This is further to give Notice that the Court of Chancery will be held likewise in December next and the Commissaries Office and the Governt and Councill will also then sitt to hear Appeals and Writts of Error the severall Sherriffs of the Province being directed to publish this Ordr
Ordr abt Ordered that ffive only of the Gentlemen of the ffive of the . . Councills Councill living on this side the Bay and nearest Meeting &ccato this place have Notice to Meet in December next,
by reason of the Winter Weather & difficulty of passing the Bay at that time.
