for Surrendr Abington late of the sd County Mercht deed: hath Lib. H. D. before his Exncy in Councill made Complaint that for want of procureing the Books papers and Writ Abhingtons mgs (belonging to the Estate) out of Mr Crauford's Estate hands the former Admr the Estate will be much wasted & damnifyed by means of the Tobo debts lying still uncollected and like to remain so this year, unless Speedy Relief therein is had; And fforasmuch as the Commissary Genll having Certifyed to this Board that it was Ordered & Decreed by a Cort of Commission of Review that the sd Mr James Crauford should render his Accot of his Admrcon of the sd -Estate to the Commissary Genll with all convenient Speed, & tht pursuant thereto severall Citations have issued out commanding him to doe the Same, but hath not complyed therewith for which Contempt an Attachmt hath issued agt his body to bring him to Answer the sd Contempt, but tht return is made tht they cannot have his body before the sd Judge for that he languishes of a Sore and Grievious distemper of body wch would hazard his life so to doe; Ordered therefore tht one of the Corona of the said County living nearest to the sd Crauford do (upon Sight hereof Repair to the House of the sd Crauford & Command him to send his sd Accot into the Commissaries Office, and if he cannot appear in person to pass the same, that he give power to his procurator to pass the same on his behalfe, and if he refuses so to do, that then you Seize all his papers Bookes & Accots belonging to the Estate of the sd John Abington and make return of them unto the Commissary Genll at the port of Annapolis together with this Ordr with all Speed, who is hereby Required to see Speedy Justice done & put a ffinal End to that Affair.
Capt Hills Capt Richd Hill being called for, made his ap denyall of the Navll Officers perance who was told that Some time ago he had place. been dismissed by his Exncy from the place of Nave Officer and Justice of the provll Court for some Reasons occasioned by his own talke, by saying that he was discour aged in his Office, but was pleased now to tell him that if he had anything to say in Excuse for himself he would doe well to Speake it and the thing might perhaps be considered, who thereupon does say, that he is very sorry that he should be so unfortunate as to incurr his Exncies displeasure by any words Uttered or Spoke by him, but withal says that he thinks him self unqualified for that place of a Navall Officer.
