Lib. H. D. mander of his Mats hired Ship the Prince of Orange being sent for came accordingly & was discoursed abt it and it was Agreed upon that all the Ships lying up the Bay should meet at the Mouth of Petuxant River where the Capt Danll in tends to fall downe with his Ship and attend there accordingly p. 405 & that all the Ships up Potomoke should meet at the Mouth of St. Maries River and tht Ordr issue to the severall Collec Whitehall tors & Navall Officers to give Notice thereof which was done as followes, Vizt
Ordr abt the Vpon Representation and by Advice in Councill Ships attend ing the Men Ordered tht all the Ships Riding up the Bay doe of Warr (after their being loaden & Cleard) Repair unto the Mouth of Petuxant River and all the Ships up Poto mock unto the Mouth of St Maries River, there to attend in Ordr to goe Down together with Capt Daniell Commander of his Mats hired Ship the Prince of Orange to Joyne the ffleet in Virga under the Command of Capt Wager Commodore of the Virga and Maryland ffleet; and that the Officers give Notice thereof accordingly; and as for the Ships (if any) that Clear out of Pocomoke district, that the Collector and Navll Officer take Bond for their calling upon the Commodore at Point Comfort or other place where the ffleet is made up in Virginia; and that Majr King transmitt What Bills he takes unto George Plater Esq his Mats Receiver Genll
October the 6th 1696. Rich: Kil- Richard Kilbourn of the port of Annapolis being bourn Dep: . , . . abt Mr Examin'd d before his Exncy in Councill, upon his Oath Cood &c doth say that abt Six weeks ago being in Company
with Mr John Cood at Mr Spourns House, where he was forced by the sd Cood to drink he heard the sd Cood amongst p. 396 other extravagant talk Say that he believed a dog or a Cow or a Swine had souls as well as men, and being weary of Such company and for his horrible cursing and Swearing he went his way and did not stay a Quarter of an hour in the House, but that he left Mr Bouye, Mr Bonner, Mr Stanley & one Samll Turner a Taylor in his company. John Stanley being Sworne says that he was in Company Whitehall with Mr Cood at the same time with Mr Kilbourn and does Remember the sd words spoke by Mr Cood which W Kilbourn hath made Oath to and that he had been at Severall other times in his company and aiway's heard him talk profusely and after a bantering sort of manner.
