   Mr Attorney Attorney and Solicitor Genll for them to make

  

   Report abt Report whether the Petr has not made a false Sug

   the s pet. gestion therein and whether a Writt of Error does

  

   properly lye from the Court of Vice Admiralty here:

  

   The sd Ordr of Referrence came Reported as follows, Vizt Whitehall

       In Obedience to yor Exncys Commands I have

      perused the within PeticOn and doe humbly con-

  

  the sd Pet ceive the same to be grounded upon a false sug

          gestion for that the Petitionr who was then Attorney

   of Capt Henry Smith the Principall who was- then out of the

   Province was Solemnly called to defend the Informacon why

   the proceedings of the sd Court may appear, And as to the

   Writt of Error to the Vice Admiralty Court I humbly Con

   ceive it does not lye there, that being a Civill Law Court, all

   wch is humbly Submitted to by

                          Yor Exncys humble Servant

     Ordered that Copy of the sd Report be given to the Peti- Whitehall

   COflr if he Requires it.

  

   Doctr Lock. Docter Jacob Lockerman late Sherriffe of Dor

   Accot of a chestr County came & made Oath before his Exncy

   Supernumer- & Councill that he has but one Supernumerary

   ary Taxable &cca Taxable to give an Acct of; for wch he is ready to

          give Credit—He is Ordered to acquaint Some of

   the Committee of Accots therewith.

  

   Geo: Lay- Came George Layfield Esq Collector of his Mats

   acct of Ships Customes within the District of Pocomoke and

   &cca made Oath to a list of Ships and to the penny p

   pound by him collected within the sd District unto this day.

   His Exncy at the same time giving a Letter by him Recd

   from the Rt honrble the Commrs of his Mats Customes for

   his perusal the sd Letter bearing Date the 19th of Decembr Whitehall

   1695 and does direct the setting a side the Comptrollers place

   and the giving an Allowance of 20 p Cent for the future for

   the collection of the penny p pound &Ca

  

   His Exncy Taken into Consideration what places will be

   & Councill's

   considarcOn most proper for the Ships now in the Countrey to

   abt the Meet at, after their being loaden, that they may goe

          down together with the Man of Warr lying here in

   Ordr to Joyne the ffleet In Virga undr the Command of Capt

   Wager the Commodore, Whereupon Capt Daniell Corn.
