       Lib. H. D.     into with this Governmt yet hunting among Us on Sufferance

             doe dayly Committ Severall trespasses by destroying the

             Stocks of the inhabitants and appear amongst Us contrary to

             the Articles of Peace made with our Neighbouring Indians &

             Allies wch greiveance we have Represented to his Exncy the

             Governr who for Answer says, he is willing to Redress the

             same in such manner as the House of Assembly shall propose,

             We therefore the Representatives of the County aforesd doe

             humbly desire this honble House would take the same into your

             consideration & propose such methods for Suppressing the

             same as in your wisdom you shall think fit, having put this

             motion in writing, pursuant to an Ordr of this House lately

             passed.

       Whitehall The above agreivance Referred to his Exncy who is humbly

             desired to take such Methods as in his wisdom he shall think

             fit to Redress the Same.

             Ordr abt the Ordered that the Sherriffs and Clerk of each

             Justices of .             .

             the County respective County Court within this province take a

             Courts &cca constant Accot in writing of the hour the Court sits

             & of the hour when they break up (during the severall times

             of the sd Courts Sitting) And for to Express and Remark

             therein, whether all the Justices then Sitting doe actually con

             tinue sitting those hours, wch Accous so as aforesd taken (after

             every Courts Sitting) are by the sd Officers to be sworne to

             before some Magistrate and Return'd unto his Exncy at the

             port of Annapolis from time to time.

       Whitehall           October the 3d 1696.

      

              Produced and Read Mr Attorney & Sollicitor Genll Report

             upon the above Ordr of Reference as follows Vizt

      

              To his Exncy the Govr & Councill &c

             Mr Attorney In obedience to this Command Wee humbly sig

             & Sollicitor

             Genlls report nifye that by the Laws of England Sherriffs may

             upon the Ordr not depart their Counties but once in the Year to

             of Reference              .
