    Memd abt Memorandum tht on the sd day his Exncy having p. 386

   

    Coll:     his Honr Coll: Green- Sent for the honrble Sr Thomas Laurance Baront

    berry Secretary, who accordingly Came and the honrble

   

    Coll: Nicho Greenberry being then likewise prsent; his Exncy

    was pleased to tell Coll: Greenberry that he had been there

    two or three times and Raised Some Scruple abt the Militia

    Officrs Signing to the Address &cca therefore Willed him to put

    in writing what he had to Say in relation to that Matter; and

    then he should receive Answer, but the Coll: Greenberry

    went away without leaving any thing in writing.

   

   

                  August the 26th 1696.

    Mernda Lre Memorandum tht Geo: Plater Esq produced unto

   

    Geo: Plater his Exncy the Governr in prsence of the honrble Sr

    Esq abt the Thomas Laurence Baront Secretary a Lre to the sd

    Scotch

    TradeMr Plater directed from the Right Honrble the Corn

    missionrs of his Mats Customs in England relating to

    the Scotch Trade which was Ordered to be Entered.

   

   

    Delivered by Delivered at the same time by Sr Thomas Lau

    Sr Thomas rence unto the sd Mr Plater a late Act of Parliamt

   

    made in the 7th and 8th years of King William the Third &c

    entituied an Act for preventing ffrauds and Regulating abuses

    in the plantation Trade, for his better Guidance in his Office,

    he having not had one Sent in.

   

   

    Severall publick Lrs & Delivered by his Exncy unto the Clerk of the

    papers Councill Severall Lrs and publick papers Recd from

    Ordrd to be Enter'd for Whitehall and from the Rt Honrble the Commissionrs

    Enter'd for wch Vide of his mats Customs, which were all likewise Ordered

   

    the other to be Entered in the Councill Book, one whereof

   

   Book the   being the Petition Proceedings & Order relating to

           Burley and Masons pardon were (after Entry thereof)

    Ordered to be Delivered to Mr Attorney Genll for preparing

    a pardon pursuant thereto, to pass the Broad Seal of the

    province.

      Memorandum tht his Exncy shew'd to Mr Plater three Lrs

    from the Rt honrble the Commissionrs of his Mats Customs, con

    cerning some suspected Ships as also Instructions from them,

    relating to Trade, & a Lre abt allowance to be given for Col

    lection of the sd pr pound &c.

      Produced by his Exncy a Letter .from the Rt honrble Wm Blath

    wayt Esq of the 1st of ffebry last wherein this Clause is Vizt
