     His Exncy is pleased to Demand of the Board whether they

   know of any thing further to be offered in Councill (at prsent) Whitehall

   who make Answer they Doe not.

     Maryland: ss                             p. 381

   Danll Peirce Know all men by these prsents that We Dan,

  

   Bond for performance Peirce of Caecill County in the province aforesd Gent

   of his Riding and Willm Peirce Senr are holden & firmly bound1

   Surveyrs    .

 Comission   unto his Exncy ffrancis Nicholson Esq his Mats Capt

          Genll and Cheif Governr of this province in the full

   and Just Sume of One Thousand pounds of lawfull money of

   England to be paid to the said ffrancis Nicholson Esqr his

   Exrs Adms or assignes, To the wch paymt well and truly to be

   made We bind our Selves and either of Us our and Either of

   our heirs Exrs & Admrs joyntly and Severally for the whole and

   in the whole firmly by these prsents, Witness our hands and

   Seals this 8th day of March 1695/6.

     The Condition of the above written Obligation is such that

   whereas his Exncy ffrancis Nicholson Esqr aforesd hath Corn

   missionated and appointed the sd Danll Peirce to be Riding

   Surveyor for CEecill County and the Counties thereunto

   adjacent within the sd province by his Commission bearing

   date, the 5th day of March 169 5/6. Now if the sd Dan” Peirce shall

   well and truly perform the sd Office according to the severall

   Acts of Parliamt and Laws of this province unto which by his

   sd Commission he is Referred to be Guided by; as also shall

   observe and lollow all such turther directions and Instructions

   as from time to time he shall Receive from the sd ffrancis

   Nicholson Esq and from time to time keep harmless the sd

   ffrancis Nicholson Esq from all Damages loss & Charges that he

   the sd ffrancis Nicholson Esq shall sustain at any time by

   Reason of the sd Peirce non performance of his sd Office (so

   long as he shall Enjoy the Same) as in the sd Severall Laws is

   Enacted & Ordained. Then the above Obligation to be Void

   and of none Effect, otherwise to be and Remain in full force
