Lib. H. D. amount to 104 lbs 17s 07d Sterl Ordered that half of the sd Whitehall Revenue be lodged in mr Platers hands to be impioyed towards p. 373 the fixing the publick Arms of the province; such of them as can be fixed conveniently here, and that the Colonel of each respective County take Care to see the sd Arms well fixed accordingly; but that they first prsent the Charge thereof to the Comrs of the County Courts for their allowance which if Refused that then Satisfaction be made for the same out of the sd Quarter part lodged in Mr Platers hands as aforesd and that the other half be transmitted to Capt Pagan there to Remain untill it be seen what Occasion there will be &Ca. Ordered that Mr Plater get ready the Lists and Accot of Whitehall shiping this year, to be be sent by Capt Barbar or Capt Pellew at the farthest.
Ordr to the Ordered that the Colonel of each respective Colonels for . . . . to change the County within this province give Notice to the Gun Powder severall Officers under their Command having the &ca Custody of any publick Powder, that they take
Care (where they find any of the barrlls deficient) for to get them new hoopt, and upon Arrivall of the ffieet, tht they get Whitehall all the sd Powder changed; And it is hereby further Ordered that the Severall Collectors Speake to all the Masters of Ships at their Entry making and treat with them about it, and acquaint them it will be taken as a kindness done to the Countrey in the Exchanging the Same, which to be proposed pound for pound, but rather then faile they are to make some Small allowance.
Ordrd to be Vpon Signing a Warrt of Execution against an Reprieved. Indian and English Woman, persons Condemned for Murther. Proposed whether the Woman (called Ann Smith) now Whitehall lying under Sentence of Death for murthering of a Negro boy, shall be Reprieved or not; it being Represented that She is very penitent & may deserve mercy; Whereupon the Sherriffe being Sent for and the Sd matter being debated the Sherriffe is asked, if in Case a Repreive should be Granted, whether or no he would be Content with what Work She might doe, and not put the Countrey to Charge, untill his Mats pleasure shall be known therein who Says he will be Content with her work without putting the Countrey to Charge; Resolved thereupon that She be Reprieved, but that the thing be kept private and not made known untill She has made her Speach at the place of Execution, understanding She has Something which burthens her Conscience to discover, which she deferrs till then.
