Thursday, ffebry the 15th 1693 The Councill again sat & were present as Yesterday
Vpon representation here made in Councill that Richd Mar- one Richard Marsham of Calvert County had taken shams Guns from him dureing the Revolution by Coll Beale of & Amunition the said County ffour Guns, Sixty ffour pound of shot & ffour pound of powder of all which restitution is humbly prayed, it being Urged that severall others in the same Nature have Received the like benefit; or at least if liberty will not be Granted that all his Guns & Amunition be Restored, it is further Moved that the Use of one may be p. 53 Granted him & leave given for to make saile of the Rest that he may not be too much sufferer in this Case Ordered therefore by advice, as it is hereby ordered that he the said Richard Marsham have the Liberty of takeing his Choice of any one of the aforesd Guns to his owne proper Use, and that the Remaining three Guns, together with the Powder & shot be lodged still where they are vntill the said Marsham can dispose & make Sale of the same to his owne Advantage.
Coll Green- Vpon Representation & Motion made at this berry appointed Board that the Court of Chancery is at present Judge in destitute of a Register, and to the End that for want of such present Officer noe Business in the said
Registr Court may be delayed or impeded Ordered by advice as it is hereby Ordered that Mr William Laylard doe for the time being supplye the said vacancy of Registe vntill further Ordr And that whereas the Honble Coll Nicholas Greenberry hath the Custody & Charge of the Great Seale of this Province comitted vnto him the said Coll Greenberry is therefore now in Councill appointed Judge of the Said Court & accordingly is to Comissionate W William Laylard Register as aforesd. And it is hereby further Ordered that all Writts thence issue ing at the present to be made returneable to the first day of the next Provinciall Court of which all Persons concerned are to take strict Notice & yeild due obedience therevnto
