given them by the Lord Baltemore & persisted therein, not- Lib. H. D. withstanding the aforesd Ordr of Somerset County Court to the contrary; Wherevpon his Excell was this day (by advice in Councill) pleased to Ordr as it is hereby Ordered that the Justices of Somerset County Court do Carefully Examine & in quire into the Bounds of the Land given by Lord Baltemore to the Pocomoke Indians, within the sd County & that they cause the Bounds thereof to be Resurveyed & rune out, and when ascertain'd that publick Notice be given to all the inhabitants & others of the sd County that they presume not to Encroach vpon or seat within the sd Bounds, nor give vnlawfull disturb ance to the Indians thereon living, according to the Articles of Peace with them concluded; And that the party or parties act ing or doing contrary be forewith bound over, either to the provinciall or County Court to Answer the same as a disturber of his Mats peace &Ca

May the 16th 1696. Sffe of Caecil The Sheriff of Caecill County Appearing, the sd Co: Answer to Mallons petition was Read to him, and being asked severall pet &ca Questions thereabouts he denyed the Matter of ifact, Wherevpon he was Ordered to make Answer to the petition
