    Order'd to pursue their

    Instructions.

   

      Peter ffowler & al petition & Ordr thereon transmitted

    to the Admrlly Court.

      Came Capt Richard Brightwell & Capt Oldton Comanders

    of the two parties of Rangers, who being asked by his Excell

    whether they had Received the Instructions lately sent them

    from this Board; who say they have: they are Ordered

    strictly to pursue the same.

   

    Coll Thomas Ordered that Coll John Thomas deliver vnto

    Orderd to

    deliverCapt Capt John Oidton Commander of the, party of

    Oldton 8pds of Rangers in Baltemore County, Eight pounds of pow

   

  powdr &ca   der out of the publick powder laid iodgtd in his

           hands, for which he is to take Receipt& Return to this

    Board.

   

    Coll Addison The like Ordr issued to Coll Addison for to

    Order d to

    Deliver deliver vnto Capt Brightwell Eight pounds of pow-

    Capt Bright- der also &Ca

    well 8 pds of

    powder.

   

   

     Ordered that six Muskets belonging to the Countrey lodged

    in Coll Addisons hands & by Order delivered to Capt Bright-

    well be by him still kept & made vse off vntill further OrdT

    Recd to the contrary.

   

   

          By his Excell. the Governr & Councill &Ca   p. 334

                   May the 14th 1696.

   

    Ordr for Col- Ordered that the Collectors & Navali Officers do

    lection of the

    Additionall for the future take care to Collect & Receive the

    6dp hhdon Duty of six pence p hogshead, Vizt the 3d due to

   

   ed    from his Exncy Lhc Governr & the Additionall 3d due to

     & shipt here the Countrey for every hogshead of Tobo imported

           from Virginia & shipt here; this Board having Recd

    the Opinion of the Lawyers in that case; And for all such Whitehall

    Tobacco as has heretofore been imported & shipt without

    paying the Duty, that they Use their vtmost Endeavour to

    Receive the same from the severall Masters of ships or others

    concern'd therein
