Pierce & Mr Edward Boothby Gentl Greeting, Whereas a cer tain matter of Controversy was lately depending before Us in our Prerogative Court holden before our Commissary Genll or Judge for probat of Wills & granting of Admrcons in our province of Maryland between George Lingan Admr of the Goods & Chattles of John Abington deceased Libellant & James Crauford Deft, in which Cause it was so farr proceeded, that our said Judge had pronounced his definitive sentence in the sd Cause, by which sentence the sd James Crauford found himself Aggrieved as it was said & thereupon Appealed to our Court of Delegates in our Chancery to be by Us for that purpose appointed, Whereupon We did by our Commission under our Great Seal Nominate & Appoint Coll David Brown & others to be a Court of Delegates to inquire into, Examin, hear & determin the Matters aforesd And Whereas We are given to understand that the sd Judges Delegates appointed as aforesd have terminated their sd Comission and given J undgmt, in the matter of the sd Appeal in favor of the sd James Crauford against the Sd George Lingan the Admr aforesd con trary to Right, Equity & good conscience, as by the great Complaint of the sd George Lingan We have Recd And there fore the sd George Lingan hath Appealed to Us & humbly supplicated Us for our Commission of Review to Review the J udgmts & sentence of the sd Judges Delegates made as aforesd; We willing as much as in vs lyeth that all things may p. 327 be done between the sd parties which to Right & Justice ap purtaineth, Have therefore Assigned, constituted, Ordained & appointed and by these prsents do assign constitute, ordain & appoint you or any ffive or more of you (whereof you the sd Coll George Robotharn or Coll Nicho Greenberry to be always one) our Commissionrs especially appointed to Review & Ex amine the sentence & Judgmt as well of the sd Court of Dele gates, as of the Sd Commissary Genll and all the proceedings touching the same & the matters in difference between the sd George Lingan & James Crauford in relation to the Admrcon of the sd Abingtons Estate finally to hear & determin accord ing to the Rules of the Civill & Ecclesiasticall Laws & other the Laws of this our province, and to that End you are to meet, in some convenient house at our port of Annapolis on the Eigth day of this instant May by Nine of the Clock in the Morning of the same day, and there to Call & cause to come before you as well the sd Complainant George Lingan, as also the sd James Crauford & all other persons therein any ways concern'd, and you are further likewise hereby Empowered, as also Required to Command a full Copy or Transcript of the proceedings had & taken before the Court of Delegates in
