Maryland ss: Lib. H. D. Seal His Excell ffrancis Nicholson Esqr Capt Genll & Chief Gov ernr of his Maties province of Maryland & the Terri Lycense to tories therevnto belonging & Vice Admirall of the Labadee same &Ca To all people to whom these presents shall Minister come, Greeting. Know Yee that forasmuch as Peter Sluyter als Vorsman of Caecill County Clerk hath made it appear to me that he is an Orthodox protestant Minister, Ordained according to the Seal Tenets of the Reformed Churches in Holland—I have hereby Empowered, Authorized and appointed, as also given free leave, liberty & Lycense to him the said Peter Sluyter als Vorsman to joyne together in the holy State of Matrimony all such persons as are & be of his Society (provided the said persons shall actually have Resided in the said Society for the space of three Months before the Solemnity of Marriage passeth and no others whatsoever) without having any further Lycense from myself or any publication at Church or County Courts, Given under my hand & Seal this 4th day of October in the 7th year of his Mats Reign, Annoq Domini, 1695. ffr. March the 10th 1695/6. Charles Then came Charles Kilburne before his Excel Kilburne Depty lency the Governr who producing a Commission Marshall &ca for being DeptY Marshall of his Mats Courts of Admiralty on the Western shore, under the hand &
Seal of Thomas Collyer Gentl Marshall of the sd Court had administred unto him the Oaths appointed by act of Parliamt to be taken instead of the Oaths of Allegiance & Supremacy p. 306 & subscribed to the Test, and had also Administred vnto him before the honoble Coll Nicholas Greenberry Judge of the sd Court, the Oath of Dept Marshall as aforesaid.

Maryland ss: Mr Wm Whereas I find that Information has been made Taylard's Certificate against me William Taylard vnderwritten that I touching the should give out how that severall leaves have been provll & Land Records, torn out of some Record Books in the Secretaries Office since their Removall to this Port Annapolis— These are therefore to Certify that to the best of my remem brance I should say that the Land Office Records lay very indecent on the ffioor and that some leaves were loose & shattered, and without speedy care be taken of those Records they might be more abused or to that purpose, since which upon my summons before his Exncy the Governr to declare
