   subscribed of Allegiance & Supremacy as likewise Oaths of

    At a Councill held at Battle Towne in Calvert County the p. 41

   13th day of ffebey in the Evening, in the fifth yeare of the

   Reign of our Soveraign Lord & Lady Wm & Mary King &

   Queen of England &Ca Annoq Domini 1693

    The Honble Nicholas Greenberry Esqr President

         Thomas Tench Esqr              John Courts  Esqr

         John Addison Esqr Thomas Brooke

  

  

   Governor Produced & Read a couple of Letters of the Eigth

   Yorkes Let. & eleventh of Janey last, sent by an Express from

   ters of the the Governoe of New Yorke, signifyeing the Protest

   Janry 93. ° of certain Bills of Exchange drawne by the late

   Read Governoe Copley to the Sume of 362' 08s 00d being

   thither Remitted towards the assistance of that place; thereby

   requireing new Bills for the same as alsoe Answer what further

   assistance they may expect hence by the ffirst of May next.

   The which being Read as likewise their Majties Ordr of the

   first of March last formerly at this board produced & after

   some time spent in debateing the same they adjourne Untill

   to Morrow Morning for their full Result & Answer to be given

   in the Premisses.

  

  

    Wednesday Morning ffebry 24th 1693, being the Sixth yeare

                of their Majties Reign &Ca

   The Councill again sat & were pesent as yesterday

   Governr of This Board again take into consideration the Gov- p. 42

   New Yorkes

   Lres again ernor of New Yorkes Letters last night here Read

   taken into & produced, and after a second Debate & consulta

   considercon tion about the same had, it is the Opinion of this

  

   Board that they cannot properly at present remitt any Money,

   to that Governmt vntill Instructions given by his Excellency
