all the aforementioned ffees be collected by the sd Sherriff and Lib. H. D. that he call the said John Salter to Accot and answer & pay the whole Tobacco he shall collect vnto Robert Mason Esqr Attorney of Sr Thomas Laurence as aforesaid.
Sffe of Tal Co: Ret Ordered that it be Referred to Mr Attorney & touching the Sollicitor Genll the Sherriff of Talbot County's Return paymt of of the Ordr of the House of Burgesses relating to the 6000 lbs tobo towards payrnt of Six thousand pounds of Tobacco, for & building a towards building a Church at Williamstadt, to know Church at Williatnstadt whether the House of Burgesses have power to Referred to make any such Ordr without his EXaCY the Governr & Mr Attorney Genll &ca Councills assent, and whether the Justices of Talbot
County could give Judgmt against the Sherriff vpon such an Ordr when an Ordinance of Assembly had been passed to the contrary before & had been shew'd to the Court, as also another particular Ordr of his Exncy since that.

be Examined by the Cheevers & other Depositions have been here read, ed by the provll Jus- touching his piloting a Vessell away for Virginia, tices & pros- after the sd Meech had seized her. ecuted &Ca His Exncy demands to know whether he ever
received a Commission from the late Governr Copley his p. 270 Exncy Sr Edmund Andros Governr of Virginia, or from him self for being pilote &ca who Answers he never did. He is asked if he was a board the aforementioned ship, who does say he was; in the next place his Exncy askes him whether he knew that Capt Meech had a Commission to looke after illegall Traders, who says that he did by Report hear such a thing; Ordered that the said Hebb be taken into custody & Carryed before the Justices of the provinciall Court, now sit ting together with the Depositions & papers for their Examin ation, and that he be prosecuted & proceeded against accord ing to Law.
His Exncy Coll Henry Darn all came & brought severall signs the Executions Lists of ffees due to him for sealing Patents for Land to Coll Dar- &Ca praying his Exncy would please to sign the Exe nails Lists of ffees cutions therevnto annexed, being before done by the late Governr Copley & Coll Nicholas Greenberry, when president; And his Excell signed the same accordingly.
