  press horse away dispatches vpon Suddain Emergencies or Re

  or man &ca vpon sud0 ceipt of Publick Packetts &ca: Ordered therevpon,

 

  dain Emer- by advice in Councill, that George Plater Esq have

  gencles hereby full power to press any Boate, horse or man

 

  vpon Sucidain Emergencies as aforesd for sending away dis-

  patches accordingly, to which all persons concerned are to give

  due obedience as they will answere the contrary.

 

  Abstract of Read a Letter from Coll Darnall seting forth his

  Coll Dar

  nails Letter Instructions recd from the Lord Baltemore for open

  abt Land ing the Land Office, and vpon the same Conditions

  Affaires &ca of Plantation as before the Revolution, intimateing

 

  that the Seale formerly made Use off for Sealeing Warrants

  for Land was now in the possession of Mr John LLewellin,

  and therefore prayed that the same might be delivered him,

  and lastly therein prayed Access for himselfe or Mr Richard

  Smith, his Lordships Surveyoe Generail, to the Records of the

  Land Office, as alsoe Coppy of his Lordships Conditions of

  Plantation from off the Council] Booke without paying accus

  tomed ffees due.

 

   Sr Tho: Afterwards was read a Representation from Sr

    Laurences Representa- Thomas Laurence seting forth Coll Darnalis Designe

  tion abt Coll of Erecting a new Office for Granting Warrants &

  Darnall &ca & Ld Office Patents for Land by a CofTiission from the Lord

 

         Baltemore, intending all such instruments should

  pass vnder the said Lords Great & Lesser Seale of his Prov

  ince, by him soe termed, in derogation to their Majties

  Authority here & the open invasion of the Right of the said i.

  Sr Thomas, through whose Office all Land Affaires have

  alwaies passed & still ought to pass, as by the ffees thereof by

  the late Act of Assembly may appeare; And further vpon the

  said Sr Thomas's Representing that the said Coll Darnall does

  aisoe Claime Access to the Records of the Land Office from

  time to time, as he shall require, without ffee or Reward; to

  which praying that a stop to such illegall Proceedings &

         Demands might be put: Upon the whole matter it

         is the Opinion of this board that the Land Office now

  the afore-     is in the Right of the said Sr Thomas, their Mats Sec

         retary of this Province and that all Warrants for

  Represen- Land have Usually issued out of the said Office

  tation Under their Majties Lesser Seale of the said Province

 

  and therefore Ordered, by advice in Councill, that noe War

  rant for Land issue, but under their said Majties Lesser Seale
