Lib. C. B. his office have been Encroached vpon but likewise his Majties Patent apparently infringed; prays that this board would please to Order him to desist for the future from the Execu tion of any matter relateing to the said Office, that thereby all P. 37 persons haveing occasion for any thing the performance whereof appertains to the same may Repaire to him: Where vpon Mr LLewellln being sent for and appeareing to the aforesd complaint which was read vnto him, he faithfully promissed that he would not depart the Province Untill he bad finished & perfected the Records of Talbot County & Land Office soe farr as the same have been vnder his charge; and as to his desisting from officiating the Notary Publicks place, it is the Opinion of this board (whereas Mr LLewellin had received a Comission for the same from the late Governr Copley and that all officers Civill & Military have since by his Exncies Proclamation been continued Untill further Order; and forasmuch as noe other Ordr from their Majties for settleing the said Office does appeare to this Board) that the said Mr LLewellin continue acting (by Vertue of his said Coinission) in the said Office of Notary publick, according to the intent of the said Proclamation, Untill further Order. The humble Petition of Wm Dent of Charles County Gent. Sheweth Mr That your Petr haveing sent for a parcell of Wm Dents Indian Goods, which are now arrived, and being Pet,desirous to carrye on a small Trade with the Indians, Humbly prays yor Honrs Lycense soe to doe. And as in duty bound he shall ever pray &Ca

Capt Jno John Addison Esqr one of their Majties said Coun s cill Representeth to yor Honrs that haveing a Quan tity of Indian Goods by him & dwelling neare the Indians in Charles County, and being desirous to have a p. 38 Trade with them, Prays yor Honrs Lycense soe to doe And he shall pray &Ca Ordr for The which being Read, it was Ordered by advice Capt Addi- . . son & Mr of Mr Attorney Genll in Councill, that the said Capt Denttohave John Addison & Mr William Dent have Lycence granted them according as they have before prayed.
