Coll Roboth- Vpon reading a Letter from the honoble Coll Lib. H. D. ams Lre touching George Robotham of the 19th of ffebry Instant, to his Land laid Exncy sent & directed, touching the Runing out of the Land at Williamstadt, pursuant to the Ordinance
liamstadt & of Assembly setting forth that the Land formerly Ordr for proclamtion surveyed, contained 225 Acres for the Town & Corn- thereon. mon of Williamstadt; and that the last Order doth
say 200 Acres; so that they have laid out 200 Acres, as also marked where the 225 Acres ended; therefore desired to know, which of the two should stand for good. That the price of the Lots (the Value of the Common included) is 310 lbs of Tobo p Lot, and that severall persons laying Claime to the Land, so laid out, the takers vp thereof are at a stand whom to pay, therefore desire his Exncy would be pleased to Ordr a proclamation to issue, to be proclamed at Williamstadt: that all persons that have any Title to the sd Town or Common of p. 266 Williamstadt aforesd that they may be compelled to make their Clame & proceed to prove their Title within such a space of time to be appointed; Wherevpon his Exncy was pleased to say, that as to the first, he should leave it to the determination of the Assembly, and as to the last did by advice in Councill Order, as it is hereby Ordered that Proclamation be prepared & issue accordingly to the said effect forthwith.

Produced a proclamation drawn vp to the intent aforesd the wch being Read, was approved off & signed by his Excellency & passed the Broad Seal of the province, and Runs in these following Words, Vizt
By his EXUCY the Capt Generall &Ca A Maryland ss: Proclamation Proclamation Whereas by Virtue of a late Ordinance of Assem Land laid bly there has been Surveyed & laid out at the Port out at Wil- of Williamstadt, Two hundred twenty ffive Acres of iamstadt Land for a Town, as also Two hundred Acres of
Land more, for the Town Common, both which parcels or Dividents of Land have been likewise Viewed & Valued by a Jury of the Neighbourhood whereby each Lot is found to amount to the sume of Three hundred & ten pounds of Tobo payable to the Owner thereof, by the party taking vp the same by Law; But forasmuch as it hath been Represented vnto me, how that severall persons lay Clame to the said Land, so that the takers vp of the Lots are put to a stand to whom to pay
