D. or petuxant; the Master of this Vessell see Mr Hill at New Castle & the Tobacco taken out, being Mr Hills Mate then & was taken sick of the small poxe there & left when the Vessell went for Hull; so that he is able to make Oath con cerning the truth of what I have writ of vnloading at New p. 245 Castle; if this be not satisfactory the honoble the Commissionrs of his Mats Customs at London will I hope Certify the truth of the Vessells clearing at New Castle so that you need not in the least feare any thing about your Bond, Sr 1 thanke you for your kindness to Mr Hill therein and if I can serve you or yours here shall be ready as the needfull offers with tender respects from Sr Yor ffriend & Servant John Borland The sd Letter was thus directed

Matters depending at Law as Admr of Governr Whitehall Copley decd especially a considerable Sume demanded to be
due from the sd Estate to his Maty as also being concern'd in severall other Business of his own does therefore pray leave of his Exncy & the Board that he may be at present dismissed from attending his Mats Service vpon Councills vntill he shall have disburthen'd himself of those incumbrances; withail acquainting his EXnCY that (God willing) he intends for England the next ffleet in the Spring of the year through his Exncies permission, as soon as he had settled his Business, which was accordingly Granted him.
October the 15th 1695.
