       Lib. H. D.     said Month, relating to the gage of tob: hhds &ca And to

             Observe all such further directions as you shall from time to

             time Receive from me relating to the Duty of the said Offices

             And all Officers Civill & Military and all other his Mats loving

             Subjects are hereby desired & comanded to be Aiding &

             Assisting to you the sd Thomas Collyer in the Execucon of

             your sd Offices; Given under my hand and seal at the Port of

             Annapolis this 22th day of August in the 7th year of the Reign

             of our Sovraign Lord King William &ca Annoq Domi: 1695.

             ers Bond Collier Henry jowles Esqr and Francis Collier are

             for perform- holden and firmly bound unto his Francis

               &ca Nicholson Esqr hi3 Mats Capt Genll & Chief Governr

      

             of this Province in the full & Just sume of one thousand

             pounds of Lawfull Money of England to be paid to the said

             Francis Nicholson Esqr his Exrs AdmTs or assigns to the which

             payment well and truly to be made Wee bind ourselves &

             either of us by himself our & either of our heirs Exrs and

             Admrs Joyntly & Severally, for the whole and in the whole

             firmly by these presents Witness our hands and Seales this

             22th day of August Annoq Domi: 1695

               The Condition of the aboue Written Obligation is such that

             whereas his Francis Nicholson Esqr afd hath Commis

             sionated & appointed the said Thomas Collier to be Navall

             Officer for the port of William Stadt & Riding Surveyor with

             in all the Limitts & precincts of the five Counties Lying on the

             eastern shore wthin the said Province by his Comission bearing

             equall Date with these presents, now if the said Thomas Col

             lier shall well & truly perform his Duty in the man agmt of the

             two said Offices according to the Laws of England, And shall

             observe the severall Acts of Assembly of this Province and the

             directions set down in two Certain proclamations issued, the

             one bearing date the 17th day of August instant touching the

             trade of Pensilvania & the other bearing date the 20th of the said

             Month relating to the gage of Tobacco hhds &Ca And from

             time to time Save Defend and keep harmless the said Francis

             Nicholson Esqr from all Damage Loss & Charges that he the

             said Francis Nicholson Esqr shall sustain at any time by

             Reason of the said Colliers non performance of his said Offices

             (so long as he shall enjoy the same) as in the said Severall

             Laws is Enacted and Ordained and in the said Proclamations

             is set forth, Then the aboue Obligation to be void and of none

             Effect otherwise to be and Remain in full force and Vertue.
