      Lib. H. D. Represented Upon Representation Ordered that noe person

             prson take whatsoever be suffered to take up any Lott within

             up any Lot the Port of Annapolis Untill some further directions

             in Annapolis untill therein be given by the Assembly appointed to meet

             further ordr 2d of October next, the Good of the Province in

             from the Assembly &ca generall being thereby designed & intended

      

      

              Then was Read the following Peticon

      

      

               To his Exncy Francis Nicholson Esqr Capt Genll and Chief

             Governr in & over his Mats Province of Maryland &ca

      

      

              The humble Petition of Edward Green

         p. zo8 Sheweth

      

             Mr Greens That whereas your Petitionr Liveth convenient to

              the sea board side in Somerset County & haveing a

             & Ordr right to the greater part or share of those Marshes

             thereon and Sand banks or beaches so termed Adjoyning to

      

      Whitehall  the sea board side or breakers of the main Sea within the said

             County of Somerset Your petr humbly Craves that your

             Exncy will be pleased to grant me a Comission for seazing all

             Wrecks condemnable by Law also all drift Whales or other

             great ffish belonging to his Maty And the said ffish to Cut up

             and try for Oyle what can be got from the bluber thereof it

             being a hardship That any Strangers or Inhabitants should

             have freedom to range the said beaches belonging to your

             petr & cut the timber thereupon, Intreating that the Kings

             allowance may be modrate & Your favour herein will greatly

             Oblige me -to thankfull Acknowledgmt to your Exncy

      

            And as in duty bound shall Ever pray &Ca

      

      

               The aboue said Peticon being Read, his Exncy in Councill

             was pleasd to Order as it is hereby Ordered that a Comission

             issue to the said Green Empowering him to looke after those

             Matters he rendring a just & true Accot (as well of all his

             proceedings & future profits thereby accruing at all time &

      Whitehall  times, as occasion shall offer, as also of all other profits by him

             or any other person in those parts, by means of any such

             Drifts or Wrecks heretofore made and vnaccounted for) unto

             his Matys Court of Vice Admiralty on the Eastern Shore, giving

             Bond for the same & for paymt of what part thereof shall

             belong unto his Maty or Vice Admirall of this Province.
