are hereby Strictly Enjoyned & Comanded to make Procia- Lib. H. D. mation in the most publick & Convenient places wthin their Respective Counties And to give due Notice as well to such of his Mats Councill & Justices of the Provll Cort as do reside wthjn their said Respective Counties, as to all & Singular the Depties & Delegates by the ffreernen thereof thereunto Elected & Chosen, that all Excuses set apart they & every of them be & personally appear at the Port oi Annapolis aforementioned on the said 2d day of October next to do & consent unto those things, which then & there by the favour of God shall happen to be Ordained, for the Glory of God, his Mats service & intrest of is Countrey, & the Justices afd in Ordr to hold Cort, And the Sherriffes are hereby further Ordered to give Publick P. 207 notice through out their severall & Respective Counties that all persons who have any Publick Claims to make to the Assembly, that upon proveing their Accots according to the Directions of the Law in that Case and sending up the same any one of the Burgesses of the house shall be deemed Sufficient for allowance of the Same, provi4ed such Accots for publick Services &ca put in, be not over charged, the regula tion of all wch matters is left to the Comittee thereunto Authorized and Appointed. & Coll Codd It being Represented that Coll George Wells of Ordrd their Baltemore County & Coll Snt Leger Codd of Kent appearance County two of his Mats Justices of the Provinciall to Answer &caCourt appointed have not as yet come to be sworne in Obedience to the said Comission, Ordcrcd thcrc upon that the Sheriffes of the said Countyes give Notice to each of them that all Excuses set a part they be and appear before his Exncy & Councill at the Port of Annapolis by the second day of October Next to shew cause (if any they have) why they did not give their Attendance accordingly.
Clerke of Upon Complaint made by the Justices of the the provll . . Court Ordrd Provinciall Court that there is want of an Assistant an Assistant to the Clerk of their Court, one person being thought insufficient to manage the whole business of that Court alone; Ordered thereupon that the honoble Thomas Brooke Esqr DeptY Secretary and Robert Mason Esqr Attorney of the honoble Sr Thomas Laurence Baront principall Secretary take care to provive an Assistant accordingly,
