             Letter to the

             Governr of Yrs of the 7th of June past I did not Receive till

             New Yorke about the middle of July, it not being sent by an

             Sent by Mr

             Tasker Re- Express the honoble his Mats Councill of this Province

             lating to living in the severall parts of it remote from this

             Asstance of

      Whitehall  that place place makes it difficult to call them together & some

             &ca of our Ships being but lately gone & the Collectors

             Districts laying a great way a Sunder, the Bills of Exchange

             for the late Additionall 3d p hhd could not be got sooner, wch

             are reasons tht I have not Returned your Exncy an Answer

             before. This is to be presented to yr Exncy by Mr Thomas

             Tasker, one of the house of Burgesses and Treasurer of the

             Province, who (according to an Order of our late Sessions of

             Assembly) was appointed to wait vpon Your Exncy when you

             sent either for men or Money in Ordr to give you a just & full

             Accot of the state of this his Mats Province in relation to both

             therefore do desire you will give Credit to what he shall Say

                      August the 19th 1695

              The Councill again Sate & were Present as before with the

             Addition of the honoble Coll David Brown

          Sherriff of Ordered that the Sherriff of each respective

             each County

             Ordedto County give Notice to the Severall County Clerks &

             give notice to the Clerks of the Indictmts that they & every of

             to the Clk of

             the Cort & them be & personally appear at the port of Annap

             Clk of In- ohs before his Exncy in Council the first day of the

             dictmts to

       Whitehall appr before next provinciall Court in Order to make Oath to the

             the Govr & ffines & fforfietures passed in their Severall Courts,

             Sherriff of   Ordered that the Sherriff of Ann Arrundell & the

             Ann Arrunll

             dell & Tal- Shif of Talbot County give publick Notice in all

             bot to Live parts wthin the limits of their Counties that all per-

             in Annapolis

             & William- sons who for the future shall be Constituted and

             stadt for the appointed Sherriffs for either of the said Counties

             future must Actually inhabit & live within the port of

             Annapolis for Ann Arrundell County & port of William Stadt

             for Talbot County & to the End such persons as are minded

             to make Application unto this Board for the same may pre
