            Governrs Proposed that some way be found out that may

            proposali

            abt seating occasion the seating a certain Indian Tract of Land,

            an Indian Scituated betwixt Pomunky & Mattawoman extend-

            tract of

           Land &ca  ing at least twenty Miles upon the River of Potomock

                   & now within the Bounds and limits of Prince

            Georges County, therefore his Exncy does particularly Recom

            mende (for his Mats Service) some way be found out to Oblige

            the Indians to Suffer the seating thereof, wch will occasion a

            greater quantity of Tobacco to be made, as also advance and

            Encourage the aforementioned New County; therefor his

            Exncy is pleased to recommend it to the Gentlemen of the

            Councill that they would consider agt the Assembly of some

            proposalls to make to the House for the furtherance thereof

            requiring the honoble Coll John Addison to speak to the said

            Indians to be here at Annapolis the 3d day of October next &

            that Coll Charles Hutchins speak to the Indians in Dorchester

            County to be then likewise here.
