    gent search both by Land & Water for all such goods Wares Lib. H. D.

    and Merchandizes not legally imported and the same to seize

    & cause them to be proceeded agt according to due Course of

    Law, And to the End all diligent care may be taken to pre

    vent the inticeing a way Seamen & others it is hereby pro

    vided that if in case any such person inticed shall be found

    entertained & Recd on Board any Boat, Shallop, sloop or

    other Vessell belonging to the Province of Pensilvania Town

    of Newcastle & Territoryes thereunto belonging, Such Boat

    Shallop Sloop or vessell shall in like manner lay lyable to be

    seized & prosecuted as afd And to the end due notice hereof

    may be given I do hereby Comand the severall Sherriffs of

    the province to make Proclamation hereof in the most publick

    & convenient places wthin their respective Counties, Willing

    and Requiring all Officers and others whom this doth or may

    concern to Yeild all due Obedience hereunto at their perill

    Given at the Port of Annapolis Under the great Seale of the

    province this 17th day of August in the Seaventh Year of his

    Mats Reign Annoq Dorni: 1695

    Armes taken from Mat- Ordered that what Arms were by any person

    tapany Or. taken away from Mattapany in the time of the

    dered to be Revolution the same be Restored again either to the

   

   Restored &ca    owner (if to he found) or Colonell of the County,

           where the present possessors of such Army live,

   

    vnder penalty of being proceeded agt And that the Sherriffes

    of St Maries Calvert & Charles Counties, make inquiry there

    about & give Notice thereof in all ports wthin their respective

    Counties & rnakc Return of their proceedings herein unto this

    Board with all Convenient Speed.

   

     The Board proceed to setling the Militia Officers wthin the p. 200

    New and late Counties divided as follows, Vizt

   

     Coll Henry Jowles constituted & appointed Colonel of Snt

    Maries County.

   

            John Courts Esqr Colonel of Charles County. Coll

    Regulated John Addison Colonel of Prince Georges County,

    &ca wthin the New & And that the Colours for the said County be Snt

    Devided   Georges Cross, Vizt a Red cross in a White ffield.

    Countyes   Coll John Hinson Colonel of Kent County.

    

     Lievetent Coll Mitchell, Colonel of Ca!vert County.

     Majr John Bigger his Lievetenr Colonel & Mr Walter Smith

    Majr of the said County.
