England, and you are to take care that none of the aforesd Lib. H. D. enumerated goods wch shall be pretended for any of the Ships that have given Bond to goe to England Wales or Berwick only and to no other place be under that colour stolen on board Ships wch have given bond to some other of their Majtes English Plantacons or to England Wales or Berwick, and so evade the dutyes payable as aforesd, and you are to take notice notwithstanding the payment of the sd duties no Shipp or Vessell can by law goe from Maryland or any other of their Majesties Plantacons wth any of the aforesd Comodities to any part of Europe but to some other of the said Plantacons. 4thiy 14th Car. 2d If any of the goods chargeable wth the duties aforesd shall be loaden on board any Ship or Vessell before the Master or Comander hath made entry thereof according to the Act for preventing frauds and the Statute made Primo Elizabt Cap: 11. such Master or Cornander is lyable to the penalty of one hundred pounds. 5thly You are to take care tht no Comodity of the growth production or Manufacture of Europe be imported but what shall be Bona fide and without fraud laden & Shipt in England Wales or Berwick and English built Shipping or Shipps other wise quallified except Salt for the Fisheryes of New England and Newfoundland, Wines of the growth of Maderas Western Islands or Azores and Servants horses and Victuals from p. 170 Scotland and Ireland under the forfeiture of Shipp and goods. 6thly And for the prevention of frauds you are to inform your self whither any Shipps or Vessells comeing to Maryland lade or unlade any commodities whatsoever untill the Master or Comander thereof shall first have made known to the Gov ernr or whom he appoints for that purpose the arriva!l of each Ship or Vessell with her name and the name & Sirname of the Master, & hath shewen that she is an English built Ship or otherwise qua!ifyed & Navigated according to law and doth deliver to the said Governour or such other person a true & perfect Inventory of her Lading together wth the Place or places where such goods were taken in. 7thly And whereas severall Ships doe trade in their Majtes Plantacöns which by law ought not to trade there and severall European Goods are imported thither from other Places than England, Wales, or Barwick and severall Ships Loaden wth the enumerated Plantation Comodities do goe for Scotland and other places without first comeing for England and act ually unlading there. You are carefully to examine all Cer tificates wch shall be brought of any Ship having given Bond for the preventing fals & Counterfeit Certificates & as to their Ships and Vessells as doe give Bond in Maryland you are to endeavour to discover whether the Condition of the said
