time or times (during the continuance of this our Commission) Lib. H. D. shall (by any the Surveyors Comissionated under Us) come directed unto you, and the same return into such proper Office or Offices according to Tenor of the same, if they be Regular Surveys and not otherwise To have & To hold the said place of Surveyor and Examiner during pleasure, together with all ffees, profitts perquisits and Advantages therevnto belonging or in any wise appurtaining according to settlemt of the Same by Act of Assembly of our said Province in that case made and Provided, Witness our trusty and well beloved Francis Nicholson Esqr our Capt Genll and Governor in Chief in and over our said Province and Teritory aforesaid. Given vnder the Great Seal of our said Province the 25th day of May in the Seaventh year of our Reign &ca Annoq Domini 1695.
Sr Thomas Know all men by these presents that I Sr Thomas Laurence Bond to his Laurence Baronh Secretary of Maryland am holden Exncy for and firmly bound Unto his Exncy ffrancis Nicholson 200 l sterl penalty &ca Esqr in the full sume of Two hundred pounds of good & Lawfull Money of England. To be paid to the said ffrancis Nicholson his heirs or Assignes To the which paymt well and truly to be made I bind my Selfe my heirs Exrs & Admrs firmly by these presents Sealed with my seale and dated this 14th day of November in the sixth year of their Mats Reigne Anno Domi. 1694. Whereas his Exncy the said ffrancis Nicholson hath this day drawn three severall Bills of Exchange on Mesiers Macajah Perry Thomas Lane and Richard Perry Merchts in London all of one Tennor & date & payable at sight to the said Sr Thomas Laurence Baront for the sume of one hundred pounds sterl. if the said sum of one hundred pds ster! shall be well & truly Satisfyed and paid upon the Bills of Exchange to the said Sr p. 181 Thomas Laurence according to the tennr of the same bills Then The Condicon of this Obligation is such that if the said Sr Thomas Laurence his heirs Exrs or Admrs do & shall well and truly within or at the Expiracon of twelve months from the receipt of the said one hundred pounds ster! upon the said bills Satisfy and pay to the said Francis Nicholson Esqr his heirs or Assigns the said Sume of One hundred pounds Sterl Money of England with Lawfull Interest for the Same without fravd or Covin
