At the same time his Exncy gave order to Mr Plater that not withstanding the Accot of the quarter part of the 1s p hhd this Year cannot be at present made out & Adjusted yet that Whitehall he should Remitt to Capt Pagan as much Money as he findes the same will amount to & likewise gave Order to Mr Clarke to send Bills of Exchange to Mr Plater for the quarter part which this ffleet should come to his hands and further that the said Mr Plater remitt out of his Exncies owne private Accots the sume of 1 2 l sterl: upon Accot for the quarter part of the said 1s p hhd which is supposed may be collected by Majr King Navall Officer of Pocomoke but the Accots thereof & Bills for the same cannot with conveniency be adjusted & sent hither to go with this ffieet, therefore does for the vse of the Coun trey, disburse the said suffle, the said Majr Kings last yeares Accot for the quarter part amounting to about that Sume, All which said Bills of the quarter part so to be remitted are by the said Capt Pagan to be disbursed & laid out for the pur chasing the following Armes &ca p. i76An Accot of Armes sent for last Shipping Vizt
Twenty Dragoons bridles and Sadles. Ten hand Mortars such as the two Companies at Tangier had sent them when my Lord Dartmouth was there To inquire of Sr Henry Goodrick or Some other Officers at the Tower of the price and where they are to be had, with one hundred hand Granadoes fit for those hand Morters and ifuzees with proper wadding & directions how to use them. Halfe a dozen instrumts to Trye powder with & the rest of the 2501 sterl. to be laid out in Granaderes Armes, Vizt slung fuzees Sanguind or otherwise fited the best way to keep them from Rust and Byonets fit for the Bore of the fuzees with large Cartouch Boxes to hold betwixt two or three dozen of Carthrages and to send good hatchets. The Cartouch box to goe upon one belt and the hatchet & Byonet in two hangers upon the same belt & pouches to carrye the Granadoes in.
An Accot of Armes &ca now Ordered to be sent for Vizt
Iron worke for ffifty wheel barrows. ffifty Shovels & fifty Spades, 25 pick Axes & 25 mattocks. Two Union flags with Lines a Large & a little one. Six Dragoon Drums & two spare heads for each & Six brass trumpets 10,000 flints for horse & 10,000 flints for foot, 2000 Weight of Bullets for Muskets. 2000 for Carabines & 2000 for pistolls.
