   His Exncies You are pursuant to his Mats Royall Instructions p. 177

   Warrt to Mr

   Plater to to me bearing Date at Whitehall the Eighth day of

  

   682  l 04s 2d March 1693/4 Vizt And whereas by an Act past in

       the Assembly in Maryland the 30th day of Aprill

  

   1679 An Impost of Two shill p hogshead is laid upon

   all Tob: exported out of our said Province, one Moiety

   of which Impost is by the said Act appropriated for the Use

   & Support of the Governmt Our Will & Pleasure is that

   towards the Maintenance of the Governmt of our said Prov

   ince you take to your owne Use three fourth parts of the said

   Moiety of the Impost of Two Shill p hhd of Tobo appropri

   iated as aforementioned by the said Act, And you are to Take

   especiall care that according to the intention of the said Act,

   the remaining ffourth part of the Moiety of the said Impost

   be duly applyed towards the Maintaining a constant Magazine

   with Arms & Amunition for the Defence of our said Province

   And by an Order of Councill this day, to pay unto me the

   sume of Six hundred & eighty two pds four shillings two pence

   farthing sterl: for which this shall be your Sufficient Warrant

   Given under my hand this 22th day of May in the year of

   his Mats Reign &Ca Annoq Domini 1695.
