The honble Coll George Robotham had administred unto him the Oathes appointed by Act of parliamt to be taken instead of the Oathes of Allegiance and Supremacy as also the Oath of Judge of their Mats Court of Vice-Admiral on the Eastern Shore & Sub scribed to the Test, who at the same time had delivered unto him a Comission for the same & Whitehall Copy of the said Oath taken together with Comission for Robert Vngle to be Register & Thomas Bennet Marshall of the said Court, having power also given him by his Exncy to Administr the Oathes Appointed by Act of Parliamt &ca & Test wth Oath of Register & Marshall vnto the said Vugel & Bennet.
The Honble Coll Nicholas Greenberry being con stituted Judge of their Mats Cort of Vice-Admiralty on the Western Shore Henry Denton Registr and Thomas Collyer Marshall of the said Court, had also Administered unto them the Aforementioned Oathes and Subscribed to the Test.
The forme of the Judges oath is as follows Vizt Oath of the Judge of Maryland ss
I Nicholas Greenberry do swear that as Judge of Admiralty their Mats Court of Admiralty in this Province I will doe Equall Right to the Poore & to the Rich in all things that shall come before me according to the best of my power skill Whitehall and knowledg and according to the Customes Uses & presi dents of the said Court, I will to the Utmost of my best Skill & knowledge & according to power See that their Mats Rights shall be duely Maintained & all ifynes and fforfeitures that shall fall before me shall be duly entered & a fair Record thereof made I will not delay nor hinder Justice nor take any bribe guift or Reward to the Intent to delay pervert or hinder the same but in all things to the best of my Judgmt will carry and behave my Selfe in the said Office Justly & honestly so long as I shall continue in the same &ca So help me God
